So, what would you LOVE to drive? There are so many great pre-owned vehicles to buy these days, especially in Dallas-Ft. Worth, for many reasons. First of all, Texas LOVES nice cars and trucks, and people change vehicles quite frequently around the Metroplex. The vehicles come from lease returns, late-model rentals, and just people who like to trade every year or two. Who's the winner here? YOU ARE! Why? Because you get to own and drive a car that looks new for thousands less than the original buyer paid for it, and a good percentage still have factory warranty in effect. Now don't let your budget scare you. You'd be surprised how so little buys so much!

PASSENGER CARS
The Toyota Camry and Honda Accord cannot be beat as far as dependability goes. They pretty much last forever with regular maintenance. The Ford Taurus is a terrific buy these days. Even though the 2007 model is the last year, you can get an extremely nice Taurus with all the luxury features you want at a fraction of it's sticker price. It's dependable, roomy, and it won't cost you much money. Another value is the Nissan Sentra. Save BIG and still have factory warranty in a nice gas-saving sedan for a very low price. In the luxury area, there are great buys on Lexus, Acura, Cadillac, Infiniti, and BMW, just to name a few. The big story for the past two years has been the Hyundai Sonata. It has been rated highly with J.D.Powers and major automotive magazines and it's become a major competitor of the Honda Accord and Toyota Camry because of the quality-build, features, and especially the lower price. In 2006, Hyundai introduced their new "flagship" luxury sedan, the Azera. It's a beautiful car with all the features of a Lexus for thousands less. Definitely a great pre-owned buy.
TRUCKS
Since Texas is the "Truck Capitol of the World," you have a lot to choose from. Chevy and Ford lead the pack along with Dodge, Toyota, and Nissan. The last two are noted for their long-lasting smaller trucks, but are now doing quite well in sales of their full-size versions too. For 2007, Toyota has redesigned their big pickup, the Tundra, which should give the Chevy, Ford, and Dodge buyer a strong alternative choice. Toyota has always built a nice truck, but this one finally puts them in the major leagues of the pickup world.
SPORT UTILITY VEHICLES
Lexus RX 300, 330, and the larger LX-470, Ford Expedition and Explorer, Cadillac Escalade, Lincoln Navigator, Chevy Tahoe, Honda CR-V, Dodge Durango, Toyota 4-Runner and Landcruiser, and Chevy Suburban.
MINI-VANS
Honda Odyssey, Dodge Caravan, Ford Freestar, and Toyota Sienna.
SPORTS CARS
Depending on how much "toy" you want to buy, here's our list:
ACURA NSX--This car was $90,000 new. It's a true exotic, hand-built, and very fast car that handles like a Ferrari. The great thing is this...it's was built by Honda! That means dependability. You can buy the first production year, (1991) with good mileage for around $30,000, and the body style has had very few changes through 2006. A new design is coming next year. This is a FUN car!
CHEVROLET CORVETTE--The true American sports car since 1953. It was redesigned in 2005 which makes the previous years excellent buys in the pre-owned market right now. V-8 muscle at it's finest. The 2005 and 2006 models have finally started to drop in price a bit for a bit more reasonable used car purchase.
HONDA S-2000--For the money, a two-seater that is a blast to drive. Fast and dependable, but only available in a 6-speed.
MAZDA MIATA--It's been around a long time and for good reason. Bang for your buck! On the pre-owned market it's an absolute steal if you find the right car. Small and not lightning fast, but still the fun factor is there.
LEXUS SC 430--Another high-end car with a new sticker of $70,000, but the only way to buy it is pre-owned at HALF the price for a 2002 model. (which looks exactly like a 2006). This car has been rated the top vehicle on the road now for the past few years. It has it all, and retractable hardtop which turns your coupe into a convertible in 23 seconds.
